My favourite at the time was Everlasting Love by Love Affair. Keith Ellis reappeared in the seventies in an excellent band called Widowmaker.

Thank you Big Ears for reminding me about this song. It was a favorite of mine that faded from memory as the years flew by!

With lovers, buggers, & thieves.
My love for the old classic rock-and-roll sound wins the day... today, anyway!
I just bought this 45 rpm 7" original off Eb*y only moments ago.

Hey folks, I'm new here, so I thought I'd use my first post here to give you all an idea of my tastes. I'm going to list a few of my favourite songs of the 1960s, some obvious, some obscure.

'Time of the Season'- The Zombies
'Atlantis'- Donovan
'Strawberry Fields Forever'- The Beatles
'Strange Days'- The Doors
'Porpoise Song'- The Monkees
'Victoria'- The Kinks
'Don't Let Me Down'- The Beatles
'Gimme Shelter'- The Rolling Stones

There's a lot more, but that's all I'll say for now. Some more obscure ones:

'Hallucinations' and 'Revolution' by Tomorrow
'Daily Nightly' and 'Tapioca Tundra' by the Monkees
'Magic Potion' by Open Mind
'Fresh Garbage' by Spirit
'Living Memories' by the Trespassers
'Buzzsaw' by the Turtles
'Baron Saturday' by the Pretty Things
'Sleepy Hollow People' by Paper Fortress
'Living In A Child's Dream' by the Master's Apprentices
'Twilight Woman' by 49th Parallel
'Our National Anthem' by the Gentle Soul

Sorry if this was too long. Have a nice day, folks.

Thank you, Jet and Musikwala! I suppose it's inherited- I grew up with the likes of the Beatles, my dad was and is a huge fan.

A few more:

'Something In The Air'- Thunderclap Newman
'Summer In The City'- The Lovin' Spoonful
'Beechwood Park'- The Zombies
'Child Of The Moon'- The Rolling Stones
'Femme Fatale'- The Velvet Underground
'All Along The Watchtower'- Jimi Hendrix (who doesn't love this song)
'Sunny Goodge Street'- Donovan (from his pre-psych, folk rock days)

Thanks again, guys, for the warm welcome!

"Shakin' All Over"
Johnny Kidd & The Pirates
(1960)

"A Whiter Shade Of Pale" Procol Harum (1967)

I just got an original 7" single of Shakin' All Over, one of my fav songs from the 60's. I've had Whiter Shade for a while. These two are the jewels of my small, but growing 7" collection.
