No surprises with The Beatles at #1. I'll never really understand that. They're good, but not fantastic.
Ditto.

I am proud of the fact that we moved Deep Purple up for 40 places. :D

As am I. I'm more proud of Aerosmith though since they didn't get a single vote last year. :D

Good to see Zeppelin and Rush on top 10 though.

Agreed. I mean I like The Beatles and I understand their place in music history, but I just don't love them like most people do. My husband is more of the fanatic than me.

Awesome to see Rush make the top ten. That's a huge leap from last year!

Much kudos to Cosmic for putting this list together. Excellent job as always! :grinthumb

Much of the same for me but this list is never about the "mystery" of who will be #1 (or any of the top spots for that matter really) because everyone already knows who it will be (which is why I chose such a cozy picture for the Beatles. ;)). I for one am always much more interested in the lower parts of these lists because there's always a quite a bit more surprise as opposed to the biggest shocker in the top ten this year being that Aerosmith didn't place at all last year. :bonk:

Good job on this Cosmic! My favourites that made the list have all slipped from last year :wa, but it's good to see AC/DC make top ten :grinthumb

Fantastic job Cosmic Harmony.

I can't argue with the results. The people have spoke.

Overall, there were a lot of ups and downs that surprised me. The number of high ranking bands in last year's poll that dropped in this year's poll shocked me a bit, especially some that still seem to have a pretty big following around here. Then the massive jumps for some including some that didn't even rank last year to suddenly making the top 10 (ie: Aerosmith).

The top 5 overall didn't surprise me at all.

LIke always, thanks for running this again this year Cosmic. Even if I don't always like what it see, it is very interesting to see how bands go up and down in favor among the peanut gallery. It also shows the change in either people's tastes or in the new users that come and old users that fall by the wayside.

:cheers2
