Re: Ukulele Songs ~~~ Eddie Vedder
Yeah I'm not sure about this, but as long as he's happy, that's all that matters.

Hey Cosmic, I probably have more Pearl Jam albums than any band and even I steeered clear of this because of the sole use of the ukelele! Sometimes I think Eddie tries too hard to be the number one hippy of his generation! Anyway reading your review opened my eyes and ears a little and my interest is peaked a little. Great written review as everyone said. You are right though. The sparse instrumentation is great for Vedders vocals and critics might notice you can understand him better without all the heavy music playing alongside it. I find Vedder's vocals very soothing and I liken the vocals here to being the most like "No Code" where Pearl Jam experimented with more ethnic sounds in their music. The standout track for me was "Longing To Belong".
Good write up Cosmic.. Were you sitting there listening to the cd as you wrote???
I think a little bit of ukulele is good for everyone's soul, Sunny.
It's a really good album to listen to while you unwind at the end of the day so I think that's when you should give it it's first listen.
