Remember these guys?
Mr. Mister was one of the best American Rock & Pop / Lite AOR bands of the '80s and released three albums before breaking up in 1990. The best known and biggest seller was their second album, Welcome To The Real World, released in 1985. It spawned two number one hits, "Kyrie", "Broken Wings" and a third Top 20 hit "Is It Love".
Mr. Mister was formed in 1982 by bassist/lead vocalist Richard Page and keyboardist/vocalist Steve George. Rounding out the band was guitarist Steve Farris and drummer Pat Mastelotto. On a side note, Page and George were both originally from Phoenix and played here often so I got to see them twice and both were really good shows.
What some may not know is that a fourth Mr. Mister album, "Pull" , was recorded in 1989-90, but was ultimately never released until last year after Richard Page re-acquired the tapes and released it himself through his own label. It features Tevor Rabin and Buzz Feiten on some of the guitar parts, as Steve Farris had left the band before it's recording. "Pull" is a very different beast and almost proggy but I like it a lot. I tried to find some clips from it but no luck.
So who else enjoyed these guys?
