Rock Candy
Rock 'n' Roll Doctor
What are some albums that you feel need to be given the whole remaster/reissue treatment, either to put them back in common circulation or to replace a previous, badly done reissue?
^^Rock Candy records....? Is that an actual record label RC?
Is that an issue with the remaster or the original CD issue? Here's another album that fell way short on CD, my favorite Kansas record "Leftoverture". One of the best songs to show the difference is "Magnum Opus", on the old vinyl album the smokin' guitar solo by Rich Williams at the beginning of the track sends a shiver up my spine, on the CD it is almost lost completely. I have no idea how that could happen, it's usually percussion that is the hardest to transfer properly from analog to digital.
Anyway, I might end up trying to find a used vinyl copy one of these days.
Mhmm, it's a company specialising in 70s-80s hard rock and AOR reissues based out of England. They've done some pretty nifty stuff (Their remastering quality is always A-grade), many a good album has been put back into circulation thanks to them (They did one of Steve Walsh's solo albums not too long ago, IIRC).
