A beautiful effort from the scottish neo-proggers. IMO, Pallas at their best are as good as IQ, Pendragon and - dare I say it - Marillion.
I highly recommended this album.

Here's the opening:

And my favorite track from the album:

"We're sailing to America - on a ship of dreams.
Gonna start a new life - in the new world."

I think I have one of their albums somewhere, and I have heard of them before just never got around to checking them out more thoroughly...that is quite a compliment Belexes, rating them with those other top notch bands.

I'm not a big fan of Neo-prog. IQ being my fav. band from the sub-genre. Some other artists I can't listen to, Arena being one example.

I have Sentinal from the band and never was big on it. The first track you posted sounded great. Heavier sounding from what I remember from Sentinal. I'm going to check out a couple more tracks on youtube. Hopefully the album doesn't go to much to the sound and influence of Marillion.

I love Marillion myself, the Fish era especially but the later albums are also good. I am glad there are still bands making good old fashioned prog-rock no matter what they label it as these days.

Iam very curious about PALLAS ,IQ,PENDRAGON and other bands [neo prog ] from the early 80s.Of course MARILLION were the most popular of these bands and I guess most people on the forum know of them. I had my head in NWOBHM,Glam,Goth and Alternative at the time so I missed out on them. So im looking forward to this thread....

A much better band than their exposure to the mass market would suggest, I really liked them.
