I listened to a few of those on you tube....I had forgotten that he didnt sing.
He did the twang sound on lower strings to get the vocal effects so they say.
I can honestly say that is the first time I have ever listened to a Duane Eddy lp....I do recall him on the radio at home when I was a kid in the early to middle 60's.
