Most disappointing concert you have attended

I saw The Cars back in the mid 80s, and don't get me wrong I love The Cars and they really did sound good, but they were so bland on stage no movement they just seemed bored as did the audience. It was almost a snooze fest, I mean the songs sounded almost perfect to the records which IMO is not what I want at a live show I wanna hear live versions with a little kick too 'em.

That was my example too WetWilly, the worst concert I saw was the Cars.

led zeppelin 77-plant's voice cracked anytime he tried to hit a highnote. Page was a wreck and the other two tried to keep them all together. It was not only the last time I saw them but I stoped listening to Led Zep too. Yeah might have been to harsh to have stopped listening but several shows around the same time made me realize I didn't need to listen to Led Zep anymore my tastes had changed.

Van Halen in October of 1981 in San Antonio. I liked the band (at the time), but they were all extremely drunk. They were celebrating David Lee Roth's birthday and were all chugging Jack Daniels from the bottle. They were way off key and they would suddenly stop in the middle of the songs and start rambling some random BS. That is not to mention I wrecked my truck on the way to the show which delayed us for like an hour. All in all, a bad experience from beginning to end..

Like I said I might have been a little harsh on them. However, it was because of the bands I saw that same summer, realize 77 was the first time I went to concerts(well one in 76), that list includes Yes, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Nektar, ELP all who put on amazing shows something that Led Zep show I didn't comeout feeling. After that I never looked back I was 13 and it probably was't fair but its the way I felt at the time and shaped me into the music I like today.

Ted Nugent's concert was a similar experience for me AK, but I never let it spoil my enjoyment of his albums. I saw the tour when he changed the band and Derek St. Holmes had left, definitely below my expectations.

I kid you not....BOB DYLAN at The Pines in Look Park , Northampton Mass..he was GROUCHY and TOTALLY horrible..

And POISON in a three band gig at Lake Compounce ,Bristol Ct 1990

They played headline with TESLA and WARRANT..they were late,sounded bad, and I think they were wasted WAY too much ..the other two bands were fine/TESLA got a standing O !

AEROSMITH: Springfield Mass. ..George Thorogood...supported

They were late over 2 hours /said it was traffic but that was b.s. they were in the hotel next to the civic center! But to be fair , they were not detoxed yet..so I did see them years later/and they redeemed themselves lol..

Wilson Pickett back in the mid-eighties. He was booked at a ritzy club in Toronto. He didn't come on until after midnight. He then sang his hits and after just over twwenty minutes announced that he was going home! This prompted boos from the crowd and that was that.
