Nice find, I hadn't heard of Samurai! The only Japanese proto-metal band I can think of off the top of my head is Speed, Glue & Shinki. I'll have to keep thinking about it, I'm sure I know others, but just not sure when they put out albums.

These were a heavy prog outfit from Manchester that started in biker clubs & pubs...think they hit big in Germany... but escaped major interest.... shame~it's dope!

...Formed from fragments of Jerusalem Smith and Purple Haze...these were essentially a studio band that supported Slade on a 1969 tour,this 1971 album bombed....but is attracting collectors these days and is available on CD..
