I find punk is ok in 'small doses' such as listening to 'the pistols' BOLLO*KS album or Stiff Little Fingers first album but I prefer 1970s heavy rock EVERYTIME.
I don't get The Damned so don't bother with them although captain sensible and his solo efforts are just about listenable.

The late Joe Strummer... Great bloke- this short span from late '74 to' 77, even 1976 really saw a handful of bands set the seeds of punk-an important catalyst in the machine of music and it's shifting.

Maybe I've posted this in the past.... but it gives non British members here a 'fly on the wall' glimpse of a pub rock band on tour... The prevailing wind of New Wave is slowly gathering... Worth the watch-grab a beer and enjoy!
