I’m sticking with Machine Head but 1972 was such a pivotal year with A LOT of timeless classics and albums I consider essential listening…..

Toulouse Street
Argus
Exile on Main Street
No Secrets
School’s Out
Jackson Browne
Vol. 4
Eat a Peach
Foxtrot
Thick as a Brick
Transformer
Pink Moon
Superfly
Talking Book
Close to the Edge
The Slider
Demons & Wizards
Trilogy
………….

Amazingly, in my hundreds of ripped albums I only have three 1972 releases. Must have been a strange year.

All good ones though: Captain Beyond-Captain Beyond, Ides Of March-World Woven and the uber-classic Uriah Heep-Demons & Wizards.

I'd put Demons & Wizards up against damn near any 70's era album.

Agreed! But Machine Head is still my top pick
