I think I prefer the first single, but I like 'em both. Really looking forward to the new album!

The Writing On The Wall has a bluesy quality that I think might owe to Adrian's other projects a little bit.

Can't get enough of Senjutsu. I've long been a fan of the proggier side of Iron Maiden.

I've listening to it going back and forth to work all week. It's ok so far, nothing's really set itself apart from everything else yet.

But, that's just me. I take a while to really absorb new music.

I am surprised with the amount of synthesizers on the cds, though.

You do know Maiden are bigger than god in Japan, right? Also South America, even to this day.

Plus there's at least one all-female Maiden cover band, The Iron Maidens.

I actually would like to get hold of a Iron Maidens cd just out of curiosity and see what they make of covering the Iron Maiden stuff?.

Huh, there's at least two all girl IM cover bands.

The aforementioned Iron Maidens, from Los Angeles and the Iron Ladies from Brazil (remember the South American rabid fans comment)

The Iron Maidens are pretty cool. Especially Courtney Cox aka Adriana Smith.

Nita Strauss, who plays with Alice Cooper now, was also in the band for a while.

I'd recommend picking up their DVD "The Iron Maidens - Metal Gathering Tour - Live In Japan 2010", but it's probably hard to find these days. There's also bootleg copies of it floating around.
