The initial 12 Frank Zappa releases included in the ZAPPA/UNIVERSAL deal set for July 31 are as follows. **Date signifies original year of release.

I think this is awesome news.. I already have on vinyl a few from the list but in support of the Zappa family I'll be picking up some of these great albums.. er.. Cd's I guess.. I wish I could get the original pressing of those listed..

Don't think I've ever heard 'Freak Out'. That is a sin considering I've liked Zappa since the mid 70s. I need to hear that one.

According to Zappa.com many of the original analog masters have been re-mastered for this occasion so it's very unlikely that they're gonna re-release the 95 editions.

This is good news, don't think I will replace my CD copies unless they are far superior

They should reissue them all on Vinyl as well as CD. And don't mess with the original tapes, just take care and do a professional job then press them on 180 gram audiophile vinyl.
