Have Your Ashes Pressed Into Your Fave Songs
mdome / News / 03/09/2010 12:09pm

A UK company is offering people the chance to have their ashes pressed into their favourite records.

And Vinyly say they can press your ashes onto a record that runs for 24 minutes. It can have your top tunes – perhaps something from the Grateful Dead or Wishbone Ash – or else your own personal recording. The package costs £2000, and for this you get 30 copies of the record, complete with customised artwork.

We reckon it should be called It’s Groovy To Be Dead!

Oh wow what tunes???

Probably something by TSO or a good Savatage Ballad.

As Long As I Fall by Helloween may not be bad. :grinthumb

I would put a rock song, a folk song, a jazz tune and a nice classical piece on my record, it would take a long time to pick songs to fit the time limitations though.

I'd probably fill my record with songs that remind my loved ones how much I enjoyed thinking about death.

I'm Not There by Bob Dylan
Ruby Tuesday by the Rolling Stones
Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin
We Are the Dead by David Bowie
Death Trip by the Stooges
I'll Sleep When I'm Dead by Warren Zevon

That probably goes over 24 minutes...

That is so cool. I would totally do that!

What songs would I go with though? I think Dream Theater's "Octavarium" could work since it's 24 minutes on the nose. ;) :heheh:
