Why is liking Jim Morrison more than Freddie Mercury wrong?

Through the 80s I had cassettes with various artists, no Queen on them from what I recall, my brother had one, it had Queens "one vision" on it, I didn't think much of the song at the time and later on I remember selecting that song at a friend's house that had Queens greatest hits vol 2 and again I didn't think much of the song. It wasn't until Wayne's World came out and radio stations were playing Bohemian Rhapsody that Queen got into the spotlight, though for me Queens better stuff is from the 70s, with a few hits in the 80s and a memorable performance at Live Aid.

The person who started this thread must have been watching both Wayne's World movies, with a queen performance from the car in the 1st and someone portraying Jim Morrison in the 2nd. Though what of the films? It's been decades since I've seen them, the 1st one is obviously the better of the two, though I've gone off Dude films!

yeah CP/M...I went to see that Val Kilmer movie in Nottm...86?
Someone in a review thread the other day mentioned album fillers...Queen were guilty of that..when Jazz came out,i was gone the other way. Was a big-time Doors listener when i was on the draw- but i don't smoke anymore....non brand or other. Years ago i saw some photos of Jim's Paris apartment that supposedly had been 'found' after being locked up for 20 years.

'91 seems to be the date for The Door film. The film became a real stir for a new generation of people getting back into The Doors including myself who hadn't even watched the film. When I did watch the film, I just couldn't handle it.

I've been reading somewhere that the remaining members of The Doors didn't approve of the way Val Kilmer represented Jim Morrison, I don't know how accurate that is, there are some unusual elements and then other songs are more elegant.

I thought Queen did a great job providing the Music Score for the Flash Gordon film in 1980.
