This is supposed to be for fun, let's try and keep it that way.

I actually did recognize Josh Homme, only because I saw his band QOTSA on Mad TV a few months ago. I would be terrible for picking artists, I might know what they sound like, but unless I've owned an album with their picture on the cover I would not know many of them if I bumped into them on the street.

Happened when I bumped into Bruce Springsteen. I know what he looks like, but in person you do not recognize him. He doesn't stand out.

Springsteen is very down to earth. Easy to talk too. Bon Jovi on the other hand. I wanted to kick him strait in the teeth. One of the most stuck up assholes I have ever met.

I'd say Ozzy would definitely be first on the list! A few others that come to mind: Slash, Marilyn Manson, Axl Rose, Gene Simmons, Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney, Rod Stewart, David Bowie, Tommy Lee, Lemmy, Meatloaf.
