I'm pretty sure Tool is finished as an active band Tray, I read something about Maynard not wanting to tour anymore and there are no plans to record a new album. Too bad I liked Tool and have all their albums.

I thought I read that Tool have just done an Australian tour in April/May

No prize at all, Nine Inch Nails are not big enough imo and Pearl Jam are not metal enough, Tool would be good if they get back in the groove:)

I disagree about Pearl Jam - The Prodigy headlined Download last year when they aren't even a rock group never mind metal!

By the way, I chose the bands according to who I think could headline next year, not who I'd like to see headline, although Tool would be great :grinthumb

I imagine if Plant, Page, Jones & Bonham Jnr played the tickets would be sold out before you could say Kashmir :heheh:

^^Really, I was sure I'd read somewhere that Tool had no plans to release any new material or tour...but I could be mistaken.

No idea why Prodigy headlined as they do not have that status imo, I can only surmise that they struggled to get a big name. I usually only like 1 day but this year there were a few bands over the 3 days and I managed to get a cheaper ticket at the fest:)
