Dennis De Young, Feb 20, 2020. No one famous comes here anymore.

That means I've seen Styx without Dennis, Dennis without Styx, and (Larry) Gowan before he joined Styx, in Toronto.

I recently saw some version of Head East. They were celebrating the 50th anniversary of their album Flat As A Pancake; which ranks very high with me.
Without doing any research, I believe the only original member from that 1975 line up is the keyboardist. But the band was not bad. They played many songs from Head East and even a few covers like, Russ Ballard’s “Since You’ve Been Gone” and they opened with Trooper’s “Raise A Little Hell”.
The songs they did play from Flat As A Pancake had the audience singing along and enjoying the show. Most everyone was singing and moving along to “Never Been Any Reason”, which was saved for the last song before a very gratuitous three song encore.
It was a free concert and I did enjoy the show.

Post script. Head East also played a Grand Funk song, “Foot Stomping Music”, dedicating it to the band as “one of the bands they often toured with in the early days”.IMG_3394.jpeg
