What is a good way to find a bass player?

My friend and are just putting something together just to practice for a while and do band covers on certain songs we like and then try and get into a more serious thing. I can play the drums and he can play the guitar and we really have no problem finding a singer(I can sing a little and so can my father) but I don't know a single person that can play a bass guitar. Any ideas?

Craigslist, ask around school/town and surrounding areas, put up an add at a local music shop on a bulletin board or something... umm... one will come your way, just keep your eyes open, those bassists are weird creatures
