Actually , while Venom Is indeed, the first band to coin the phase Black Metal ,
the church burnings which started in Norway, were connected to what is known as the second wave of Black Metal, in the early 90s. And it was actually Black Metal musicians who did most of the pyrotechnics. Mainly , Varg of the bands Burzum and Mayhem, though others followed suit.

Yeah your right Vader I once had a book that I actually read from cover to cover about the whole Black metal scene and church burnings in Norway back in the early 2000s and that count fella who was doing jail time for burning down those churches.

To be honest the whole Black metal/Death metal thing doesn't interest me really and I don't pretend to know that much about it.

It's completely insane when people can't see the difference between fiction and reality. When it comes to burning down churches, ritual murders and neo nazi lyrics and this kind of thinking I'm off!
