Oakland, 1974 toward the end of the Tour of the Year. I remember the talk and missed it.
Dylan changing everything out and coming on like a rip-snorting shaman with a Wall of Sound Band laying it all out like a storm train. This is a pretty good doc of it. Paint the Daytime Black is better, but this will do; a good mix soundboard and complete too.

New Orleans, October '81 Dylan and band 'Gonna Serve Somebody'; this was a great tour like the two yrs before, which is why Bootleg Vol 13 just came out. This may have been his performing peak during these yrs, certainly his most inspired since ''74. My favorite period of shows from the 'preacher man' sermonizing fire and brimstone from the stage with a top notch band. This one sounds great with a performance to match. Like A Rolling Stone is a world-ending revelation.
