WINGS "back to the egg" 1979:

seventh and final album from Macca and Wings...
slammed by the critics...
terrible sales figures compared their previous releases...
lots of heavy rock on here, well, heavy by McCartney's standards anyway...
some lovely ballads also, as we expect from him...
two tracks credited to Rockestra, a supergroup which contained David Gilmour, Pete Townshend, John Bonham, Ronnie Laine, Gary Brooker and Kenny Jones to name a few...
one of those tracks by Rockestra is a blistering rock song, the other an instrumental...
the album may have flopped by Macca's standards but this remains my favourite ever album of his..

from the album, one rocker and one slower one:

Is this the Rossington from Skynyrd ??

Hope SDM doesn't mind if I answer, but yes it is.
And his wife Dale on vocals. Like the Rossington Collins band.
And it's great. And great to have the sole remaining original member making new music.

Well, @BikerDude answered for me (No, I don't mind at all, bro!) and I don't have a whole lot to add. After years of Gary teasing a bluesy album from him and Dale, I cannot even put into words how happy I was when this album was finally announced and more so when it came out. Trust me; it was well worth the wait. One of the best albums to come out in recent years, but unfortunately also one that went somewhat under the radar. My only minor complaint is that they did not release the album on vinyl. Who knows, maybe that'll happen at some point?

Love the Dickey Betts, got his two-fer awhile back, kudos to @recgord27;
Live at Leeds-is it not the only live R&R record that mattered? lol--kudos @Frands.

Cold Rain and Snow, the opener and one of my favorite versions; song was
the very embodiment of Jer'--who carried the weight of the lumbering
smoking Dead Train for almost 30 years... CR&S says it all, every note.
