Had to go back into the record pile thread and edit after listening to about a third of d-1.

It is that good, all four disc set of a performance night of a lifetime. I listen to
a lot of live music and this is undoubtedly one of the finest in my collection and
what can be remembered of what isn't. Warren H and Co were all on fire, like the
greatest of Dead performances, the piece just transcends what is righteous
about this thing we call popular music, any music really. The guys are as nice
and friendly as they are (and were) consummate musicians at their craft.

Another great show from '77, not sure there was anything less than great
in the bunch of that year's run.

The hottest horn section there maybe ever was, at least on this night IMHHO...

Another long player with a hot horn section, w/ a hotter singer who is on fire.
This is a good Janis album. Pearl may be considered the better release,
but this one gets more spins.
