I recently watched a documentary about Mr. Bolan and the story behind each album. I will favorite this for a read later, though. Thanks!

Aside from David Bowie, in which he and Bolan had a friendly rivalry it seemed, I classify Bolan as the greatest glam rocker. Mott The Hoople as a whole is also very grand...

I agree. I really like Mott the Hoople, too. I never thought of Bolan as a glam rocker, at least not in his early days and not in the same way Bowie was.....sorta androgynous. Bolan was a classic hippie, full of psychedelia then he got all glammed up a bit later in his career. I'd have to say Gary Glitter was the epitome of glam, but I'm no fan of his....
