This is a really cool british blues album @Neshabur. I'm lucky enough to have picked up a copy on cd a few years ago and I still enjoy it. My only gripe is the variation in quality between songs.

I managed to track down the release remastered in 1999 in UK. It's new and it isn't very expensive (€32), while in Italy it is hardly available and his price is high (€ 50-70).

I know that this album is a compilation of songs, most previously unreleased.
I listened to several songs one night in my car at Italian public Radio and I've been conquered. I love his skill to move from folk blues to electric blues with jazz influences.

In Italy, Korner isn't very popular despite some his records have been published in Italy. In Italy, British Blues is mostly John Mayall in its various groups featuring Clapton, Green, Taylor etc...

Recent purchases, all 1st pressings.

The Whitesnake album is the original UK release. It is the original "flat" mix, with Colin Hodgkinson on bass, and Micky Moody accompanying Mel Galley on guitar.
For the US release, Micky and Colin, along with their performances on the album, were replaced by John Sykes and Neil Murray.

Not too many people are aware that Whitesnake signed a contract for the US market with Geffen Records after the UK release of Slide It In, and also after Micky and Colin had left the band.
Geffen insisted the album be re-mixed for a more contemporary sound. This also afforded the opportunity for John Sykes and Neil Murray to re-record guitar and bass parts.
