I liked the music very much and loved the rythm 8/10

There was a black tricky cat
every night-fall he dressed like a groom
he wore his hair somewhat curly
and wore a red bow tie on his tail

He went to every house wherever there was smoke
asking for the girls supposedly for a purpose
and they hurried to put on their wedding dresses
better with a cat than a pot-bellied man

But like I said in the beggining he was a tricky cat
he fit up1 the girls and disappeared like smoke
with so much fertility I wish I had some
the institutions got filled with half-blooded cats2

The lords paniced that they'll suffer a damage
and they'll lose the spoon along with the broth
"you think that the cat's offsprings might make a mutiny
and whatever sweets they were nibbled at will disappear like a bubble"

Like this they found the rightest thing after they thought
the cat to capture as an anarchic scamp
so they sent out their informer-mob
those that the national body consists of

Oh, my poor cat you're so screwed
the nation's hounds are setting you up
and it happened the way I'm saying it, they caught the tramp
he saw they were too black and thought he dealt with friends

Now he cries and wails, he curls up in a ball
as if the cold-hearted judges he might be able to take on his side
"please no you good men, I'm not a cat
I am a man full of emotions3

I mind my interest4 I read the newspapers
and I served in the army for the mother land"
but they wouldn't listen, they sent him to the firing squad5
his eyes somewhat blinking at the sound of the rifle6

If you have a daughter keep her virtuous
maybe the cat won't come but there will be other animals
and if you are a lord and you get offended
I have plenty of space on my shaft to write you there7

1. fit up = in the official lyrics the verb is used as a substitute for the verb "****" or -if you prefer it- "copulate"
2. half-blooded cats = the offsprings of the "cat" (who as I'm sure you already guessed is not a real cat but a man)
3. These 4 lyrics don't really make a lot of sense when written in English, at this part of the song, the "cat" is trying to defent himself.
4. or better yet advantage
5. in the original lyrics it's written like that: "But they wouldn't listen, they set him up by the wall" meaning that they sent him to the firing squad/gave him a death penalty
6. an alternative translation is "his eyes somewhat blink at the gunshot"
7. in Greek this expression is used to say that you don't care/you don't give a damn about somebody or what that somebody said in a slank-ish way. It is similar to the phrase "I don't give a ****"
Not that much of a rock song but anyway

Great tune RRPC. That Offspring tune reminds me of Nitrous fueled hot rods, cheap beer, and fast girls.

That time period reminds me of this song

I remember when that album came out. I had just started my first "real" payroll job. (I had been working since I was 14, but mostly under the table wages). Anyways, every payday I would grab an album. This was one of the first. I have a funny personal story to tell about this album some time.
