That song is actually from the movie Almost Famous. The band Stillwater is fictitious (kind of).
Cameron Crowd did this movie, and it's based on his personal experiences traveling with rock bands as a teen journalist for Rolling Stone.
His (now ex) wife, Nancy Wilson of Heart, wrote most all of the Stillwater cuts.
I believe they have a bunch of cuts on the soundtrack, but I don't know if they have an actual album.
The singer is Jason Lee, of 'My Name Is Earl' fame, and the guitarist is actor Billy Crudup.
As far as the classic rock sound, the entire movie takes place in the summer of 1973, so I guess Nancy did a pretty groovy job capturing the sound, eh?
