Could work. If your OP is inviting enough. And show your meaning clearly in the OP.

Hmm. Yeah I've seen this kind of thread at a U2 forum I used to post at. The problem there was, it quickly became a group chat hangout place for the same bunch of people acting cliquish and sometimes ignoring new members posting random thoughts in the thread. Wouldn't want that to happen here.

It sounds more fitting for a journal Musickwala! :)

Good point. Maybe you're right.

my thing is I find the best thing about a forum is having a focus otherwise the actual conversation suffers and individual ideas for a thread suffer for one thread that's all over the place. In a journal where the OP brings up different ideas in each post he makes it attracts users to chat with the OP in there. I love journal threads as they have more freedom in general. :)

I have to say that I don't quite understand the point of maintaining a personal journal here if one already has a blogger or wordpress site. I mean, I understand that your journal here will get responses from a close knit community whereas your regular blog is open to the world thru google. But if I wanted to post something in my journal, I'll just go and post it in my wordpress. I think. I dunno.

R.E.M.! Good choice. That album, though not a favourite, has some gems like World Leader Pretend and You Are The Everything.

I'm listening to:
