Snow, dammit. Just got up at 5am and it’s -6c. We’re hoping to be driving over to D.C. either later today or tomorrow to spend Christmas there, but the roads aren’t great, the police closed the entire Long Island Expressway yesterday due to black ice, and there was a 40 vehicle pile-up at one point, and so I seriously doubt the New Jersey Turnpike/I-95 is going to be much better, though there could be a big melt today, but it's a dilemma. Got tickets for the Washington Caps NHL hockey game on Monday night too, so that would be a shame. We could I suppose hang back 24 hours as it’s supposed to get warmer.
^^Warm spell is over back to normal -16 Celsius this morning, hope it stays cold for a while so the ice sublimates off the roads and sidewalks. Seriously you could ice skate on the sidewalks they are covered completely by the rain we had a few days ago.

I don't know what ice sublimates means LG!!?...but it just sounds COLD whatever it is! Anyway we decided we're going, in about an hour actually, we decided we won't be prisoners to the weather for the whole holiday season, even if we have to maybe do it in stages and we need to pull off later and check into one of the thousands of motels between here an D.C....so it's really not a problem, though with my luck I may yet end up like Dennis Quaid in that The Day After Tomorrow movie battling apocalyptic sized snow drifts, so see ya anyway!
