^^That's quite a statement Mud, I expect that when you rank all the Batman movies Nolan's trilogy will sweep all three top spots. I am curious if this spells the end of the franchise as far as big movie productions go...

^I don't know about all that. The Nolan movies are great but he can't touch Tim Burton.

^^Tim Burton's first Batman was his best...after that they went down a notch in quality.

I am not a big Batman fan to begin with, but Nolan's interpretation of the entire Gotham/Batman universe is hands down the best. Not because of the special effects or sets which are great but because he has done something special with this set of 3 movies.

I am not a big Tim Burton fan, something about his films is too predictable for me but I give him kudos for his imagination, Beetlejuice would be my favorite of his films by a wide margin.

Burton only directed the first two Batmans so the fact they went down a notch isn't his fault, Batman 1 & 2 were great. I don't like all of Tim Burton's flicks either, the remake of Planet of the Apes was awful.

Anyway, can't wait to see the new Batman but I need to find someone to go with me. I want to see it in IMAX to and will have to go to the next town over.

^^I know he only did the first two, some folks didn't like Keaton as Batman but he surprised me, I think he did the best job right up until Christian Bale put his mark on the Bat.

I couldn't watch the entire remake of the Planet of the Apes...the original was far better.

Good luck getting to the IMAX theater, might as well enjoy the Best format to see the movie.

Yea but I need to plan a day for it. An hour drive, hour long wait, 2-3 hour movie, 15-30 minutes to escape the parking lot, and an hour home. It's probably not going to happen, I will most likely see it at home like you were going to do unless I can rope someone into going with me.

Yea when it comes to Batman no one touches his films IMO and for me its Dark Knight Rises, Dark Knight, and Batman Begins.

Nah man. His story lines, characters, action scenes, and acting are for better than Burton's attempt IMO.

Nolan's interpretation made dark, realistic, and made the characters easier to conect with. Burton's I felt was more fun and more on the comic side.
Beetlejuice was a good movie. One of Burton's best films.

Speaking of the Dark Knight Rises, that shooting that happened in Colorado is just sickening.
