^^^Hey Sal, how do you like this album? Very highly rated with proggers but it really doesn't work for me. The band seems to cover almost every sub-genre of prog and thus a very uncohesive album IMO. Talented musicians but I think they need to focus and simplify to a few sub-genres. 6/10.

It was massive on first listen to me, after a couple of dozen plays the effect started tapering. It sounds huge, very dramatic and operatic and dare I say it; epic. It's also riddled with talented songwriting, but the only thing it's missing is the lasting appeal needed to make it a classic. I don't find it uncohesive at all though, and considering it's a debut effort from a young band it's exceptional. Although I rate it 7.5/10, I'm greatly looking forward to seeing what they can do in their follow up!
