To be honest with you, and I do not mean to say nedkelly is totally wrong or that he usually does it, but people tend to throw the Janis card at every powerful singer with a stage presence. Personally, I think someone like Layla Zoe, who you should check out, has more of a Janis vibe than Beth. That said, I did say above that I think Beth is the greatest contemporary rock/blues/soul singer, so I'd definitely recommend that you check her out.
