I saw UK twice and they were pretty good both times. Once as an opener for Jethro Tull and the second time as a headliner at a big club.

Fun album. Near perfect balance of big hair metal and British metal.

French singer/guitarist Elise Lounici, aka Elise Frank...the name of her band is 'Frank.'...This album titled 'I Didn't Pay For It' she released earlier this year...bluesy-rock with a bit of a dark edge to it.

I saw Ghalia Volt at the bottom of a four band bill late last year; Samantha Fish, Jon Spencer, Cedric Burnside, Ghalia Volt. She was impressive enough that I'm buying tickets for an upcoming show as a headliner when they go on sale this Thursday.

Ghalia released a new album two weeks ago, "Burn The House Down". I've only listened a few times but it's a nice sampling of her alternative take on delta blues.
