Dream Into Action-Howard Jones
March 1985
In 1985 I was certainly familiar with the radio hits of Howard Jones and little more has interested me since. “No One Is To Blame” and “Things Can Only Get Better” are examples of his solid hits from this album.

Jumping around the dates but sticking with the Duran Duran theme:
So Red The Rose-Arcadia
November 1985
It was the 80’s! I bought the 12” dance remix, the album, watched the music videos. “Grace Jones?” “Wait! Is that Sting?” “Is that David Gilmour?” This stuff was great.

Being an 18 year old kid in middle America in 1985, my only points of reference for the band Slade were that Quiet Riot had previously found fantastic success with two of their songs which helped catapult Slade to the consciousness of America, the band would sign a new record deal, repackage a UK release for US and Canada the album Keep Your Hands Off My Power Supply which for all intense purposes meant they had finally found success in the US. Continuing with this success, they also recorded and released their twelfth album, Rogues Gallery.

This band deserves way more attention and their last song is a killer heavy rock one with a great melody that sticks in the brain.
This is a great sing along tune
