Leigh Ashford was a Toronto band in the early '70s that had one radio hit, and later became the group Moxy. Their radio hit was "Dickens." The CD of their first album manages to include the edited promo version of the song. But if you want to hear the whole thing, you have to buy the 45. This is the only post of the long version on YouTube, and it's kind of noisy and the sound is a bit anemic. I've got a perfect-sounding FLAC file of the record, but I don't know if I can post it here. Pay special attention to the drummer, Craig Kaleal. He made it improbable for anyone to cover this song, because without his drum part, it would just be lame, and if you could replicate it, then why? Because Craig has already done it. Boy, did he ever!
