I'm giving this album....and their last a few spins-i think in time they've bettered(any thoughts?)
ELP - Taste Of My Love.
Well...being a prog fan and an ELP fan I can honestly say that Love Beach and Hot Seat are the two worst lps by them....pretty awful imho....Black Moon has some good tunes though.
They allegedly made Love Beach (bad) because they wanted out of the contract they held then.
I only play the first 4 studio and Pictures At An Exhibition these days.
I think after the early ones they either ran out of ideas or they weren;t getting along because none of the later lps came close to the first 4.

Been playing some metal bands especially earlier ones (from some lists) to try and understand the love people have for it.
A few that I found ok for my tastes.......
Metallica- Master of Puppets, Justice...and Metallica blk lp
Judas Priest- Stained Class , British Steel
Iron Maiden- Number of Beast, Powerslave, 7th Son
UFO- Obsession
Black Sabbath- all the early ones up to Sabotage......but I have had those from the old days tbh.

I listened to many others like Slayer, Motorhead, Savatage, Pantera, etc....but they didnt click with me.
I also like some Rainbow, Deep Purple , etc but those are more hard rock for me....and they have strong melody lines and often shift gears like this one from Priest....
