I have heard a few of their earlier lps like If, Perilous, Breaking of the World....they are in the symphonic prog rock realm and some compare them to Yes, Genesis ,and ELP....they can have an edge but I dont consider them heavy or dark per se but it depends on who's listening and the lyrics I suppose. Their original singer Jon Davison has sung on several YES lps.Glass Hammer

Very interesting, dark, and fairly heavy. From my reading….Skallagrim is the heaviest of their albums. Now I want to go back to earlier stuff!
@dr wu are you familiar with them?
Thank you! I will definitely listen to more. There is more than plenty to hear…..I think there are 22 albums! Amazing they have not been on my radar before now.I have heard a few of their earlier lps like If, Perilous, Breaking of the World....they are in the symphonic prog rock realm and some compare them to Yes, Genesis ,and ELP....they can have an edge but I dont consider them heavy or dark per se but it depends on who's listening and the lyrics I suppose.
