AMAZING BLONDEL - 'Fantasia Lindum'
Even more dear to me given that I now live very close to Lincoln ("Lindum" being the Roman Latin name for the city).
Hardly rock, I know, but I am listening to - and enjoying! - it. :HP

SPLIT ENZ - 'Mental Notes'
Quirky, but absolutely brilliant from the band that would morph into CROWDED HOUSE but would never better this album.
Prog with a handful of "zany" thrown into the mix for good measure.
'Stranger Than Fiction' is the killer here...

I listened to a 'Skynyrd' compilation cd last night the first time after not really listening to any of the bands stuff since the early 2000s (the Ronnie Van Zant era skynyrd I mean) and it all still sounds pretty good 20 odd years later!.

Before listening to Skynyrd last night I played a compilation cd of GEORGE THOROGOOD and after overdosing on a ton of 1970s US rock (which sounded really cool to this dudes ears!!) George's 'back to basics' Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley & Elmore James interpretations sounded quite REFRESHING to my blues-rock mindset.

"Thanks George keep a rocking!!."
