I use to play this second posthumous Hendrix album along with the first posthumous Hendrix album the Cry Of Love album quite a lot back in the early 1980s. Some essential Hendrix studio tracks appear on this album in the shape of Dolly Dagger, Earth Blues, Room Full Of Mirrors & New Rising Sun along with a interesting instrumental called Pali Gap. The Star Spangled Banner is a guitar heavy track overdubbed with several guitars by Jimi and Look Over Yonder is a older Hendrix song recording from 1967. Apparently the long live version of Hear My Train A Coming that was recorded at the Berkeley Community Centre in California in May 1970 is regarded as the definitive live version of the song by Hendrix fans.

***The instrumental Pali Gap was a instrumental segment that followed on from the ending of Dolly Dagger and because the instrumental Pali Gap has a Hawaiian feel Mike Jefferies Jimi's manager gave it the name Pali Gap in 1971 for the release of the Rainbow Bridge movie and OST vinyl record. It is doubtful if Jimi would have known the instrumental by the name Pali Gap?.***
