She was very popular in the 80s and early 90s in the most of Europe. She had a heck lot of megahits in Germany and Scandinavia. First time I saw Gianna Nanini, was on the German TV station ZDF, in one of their marathon rock shows(8 hours), in the early 80s. I really do like her music, voice and perfermance. She was a brilliant performer on the scene with lot of power and energy!
Her most popular albums here around was/is:
Latin Lover(1982), Scandalo(1990), Dispetto(1995),Grazia(2006)....

I adore her debut album, America: there are at least 4 great true rock tunes. She also played a very cool cover (with italian lyrics) of Me and Bobby Mcgee. I post it for you in the video thread ....
