Dr. Hook x2 disc cd compilation= 40 tracks of mainly soft rock & country rock.

I would like to hear there first couple of albums released as Dr. Hook And The Medicine Show as possibly they played a bit more electric guitar based rock??.

SACRED STEEL eh SanguineRemedy?. I bought it back in around 1998/99 and thought it was f**king brilliant!!. They are (or were?) a Germany metal/thrash metal band and this album is choc full of medieval themes and it manages to take the Blackmore/Dio era Rainbow a bit further along. If they had had electric guitars and Marshall amps back in the 11th or 12th century this is the type of heavy rock those knights would have been playing and playing 'air guitar' along to!!. I really enjoyed this album and the follow up album was good with a few good heavy songs on it but I didn't think it was as good as this first album in my humble opinion.

I'm glad you know of them! Their vocalist is a hit or miss for most people and I've heard people say he has one of the worst voices in metal but I just think it gives the band that distinctive edge even though he sounds like an off-key King Diamond, just a bit.

You're right, this album fucking rocks and I can hear Rainbow playing this back in the day.
