Runnin' ... even now there is a sense of awe to me about that amazing hard-edged sound in the opening bars of the opening track of the first VH album which never goes away...in 'BoBW' to me they just sound like any one of 1,000 other 80's corporate rock bands.

This is the first Official Opera Races Poll...and I know she mentioned elsewhere she likes the Sammy Hagar led version of the band more than vintage David Lee Roth era but Running With The Devil is one of the best opening tracks on any album I've ever listened to. It blew all of us away in the record shop the day it arrived and the clerk played it.

^^^ Speaking of blowing one way, my across the street neighbor was much older than me when this album came out.

He was like 17 or 18 (I was 13-14) and I still get a good feeling when thinking of the old neighborhood in the summertime, with that, Eruption ect. , blaring out of his bedroom window.
