A truck carrying pyrotechnics for Kiss and Motley Crue was involved in an accident in Ohio while en route to tonight’s scheduled show at the DTE Energy Music Theater near Detroit, Mich. A joint statement on Kiss’s website includes the pictures below while announcing that tonight’s show has been rescheduled for tomorrow (Sept. 6).

It’s not clear what caused the accident, or exactly when the accident occurred. Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx tweeted a few photos from the scene, along with a message that the truck driver is OK. The tour was in Nashville on Tuesday night.

“We owe you the show you expect and deserve, so we’ve jointly decided to give our crews the 24 hours necessary to piece everything together to make it possible,” the statement reads. Thursday night was a night off for both bands, before their tour heads to the Chicago area on Friday.

Nice that nobody was seriously injured and it is surprising things like this don't happen more often.

^^You could sell one pair of your Oakely collection, that is what a TRUE KISS Army member in good standing would do to see his favorite live band.

I'm actually not going to see them on September 16th! It was a really tough decision but because of the venue I'd never make it through the show with my back (especially this past week). The venue is about an hour away but there is only one route into the parking lot & one route out. It is a minimum of 2 hours of deadlocked traffic before & after the show. There was an article in the paper of a recent Def Leppard / Poison show & the reviewer wrote that he arrived at 6:30 & didn't get in until 8:30. People were abandoning cars on the road & tried walking in.

^^That's too bad all round Bucky, couldn't they book a better venue in your City knowing the traffic snafu's of the previous concert? :wtf:
