Here's an artist that plays passionate piano laden singer songwriter Pop that is a mesh of early Randy Newman and John Lennon! I don't think I need say more except that he excels at it and needs to be heard! I was first blown away by the single "How Could You Babe" and now the album Goon is playing for me right now and will be in the future no doubt:
