Band: The Sword
Album: Warp Riders (2010)
Reviewer: Prime & Cunishment
First off, I will be one to admit that I have only given this album one listen. But considering how amazed I was at how it sounded, there is going to be much much more listening coming out of this album, I know that for certain. Ever since Gods of the Earth, I have been a fan of these guys. Even got to see them live, which was one of the best performances i've seen to date. But I won't get side tracked, onto the album itself.
I don't really have a whole lot to say track by track, other than the fact that with each song that came up, I kept being reminded how talented this band really is, how great the vocalist can sound, how wonderful the guitar goes with the rest of the music. And of course, it's filled with 1 or 2 instrumentals, including Acheron / Unearthing The Orb:
Ever since I heard The White Sea off of the Gods of The Earth album, I have always been interested in these guys's talents to pull off a great instrumental, and that much is evident with each album they produce:
I was a little iffy to hear how the vocalist will sound ever since Gods, because i'll be honest, I wasn't considerably impressed with him, I thought he had a lot more potential than what he was using, but hearing him in this album really shows how great he can sound. I was deeply impressed.
