Wow... 40!
They were quite a tour de force back in the punk days(being Anglo American and all)... The band almost imploded after the death of James Honeyman Scott and Pete Farndon within two years.
Her first 'squeeze' was said to be Ray Davis of The Kinks ( he gave them Stop Your Sobbing)... but she was sweet on the recently departed Shane McGowan!
(didn't they form the controversial Moors Murderers?) named after the wicked child killer of the early 1960s.
Learning To Crawl... was obviously connected to the losses.. Good album.

I heard "Mystery Achievement" on SiriusXM last week and have been playing this on YouTube regularly ever since:

I know most of their "greatest hits" and key tracks from the radio and like pretty much all of them, but can anyone give me a guide to a more immersive listening experience? Something like "listen to these albums in this order?" I know their first album is key and that two of the original members passed away pretty early on in their run (not sure if the material suffered as a result, etc.). I have a Spotify subscription, so I have access to pretty much their whole catalogue. Much appreciated.

I usually think it important to listen to each album in order of their release so that you can feel and relate to the music in your own way; not how others might force you to relate.
Greatest hits compilation albums are a good introduction and sometimes I lean towards some songs and would them buy the album those songs produced first and then filter in the other albums in a similar manner but generally speaking you should start at the beginning and decide what you enjoy listening to.
