Mindy Smith

I don't have a ton of country artist that people might not know but Mindy Smith is one that I don't think many got a chance to hear! I first heard her because she tackled a great Dolly Parton song "Jolene" and nailed it! The rest of the album:

"One Moment More"

Has a great old rustic country sound with a revivalist feel! The album is religious lyrically but not preachy! My favorites are:

"Jolene (ft. Dolly Parton)"



"Come To Jesus"
(Don't let the title scare you, definitely listen to this)



"Hurricane"

Ok I like her voice and all but I don't agree on the jolene cover... Her voice doesn't reach the maturity it needs to cover dolly parton without bringing a lesser song.
Aside from that: she has a good and relaxing voice. Again not really my genre though.

I was just thinking I keep hearing how good Mindy's work continues to be and I need to explore her further albums more and get them!
