The John Butler Trio are an eclectic band, crossing many genres of music such as roots, reggae, soul, rock and jam. The music is generally very fast paced and upbeat, but still retaining a warm and heartfelt feel. (although they are capable of a ballad or two) and John Butler's guitar playing and voice are the most powerful factors, although the cello and drums are by no means understated.

They have 5 albums released from 1998 - 2010 and I own the latest 4:

I'm a huge fan of the Grand National album. One of the better albums to come out of Australia if you ask me

Agreed, Grand National is my favourite from them. Every song is quality and I'm yet to be tired of it to this day after getting it about two years ago Another awesome track from it is Devil Running:
