British funk scene was top notch.. two dodgy clubs I used to frequent - punters were dodge City, but the music was tasty
Boogie Nights always takes me straight back to 1976-77 it's a really good Dance/Funk song. Rod Temperton from Heatwave went on to work with none other than Michael Jackson. Rod passed away in 2016.

Real nice to drop by Southern, that soul bond can't be broken!
George and the whole lot look whacked up on scooby snacks...( Stay in touch dude, nai.)
I dug Boz since his DNA squares back to early Steve Miller, folks Rave about
Silk Degrees, but... Down Two, Then Left is an equally solid piece of adult soul- that'd you find on Vinyl.
Boz Scaggs- 1993.

Mary Ann Saxton starting laying down wax at the age of fifteen - out of Edmonton she cut some sassy soul in Alberta. 45 releases on the Quality label sit on my shelves... and even though her biggest hit was in '73... this 1968 single heated the teenage floor on the' Lights Out' section at close of play.
Mary Saxton - Sad Eyes.

This lady was all about the music, and influenced by Herbie Mann in particular.
Cut at the Sound Factory, Hollywood in 1973,taken from a vital piece of vinyl.

Bobbi Humphrey - Chicago Damn.
