song (and album) polls aren't always about 2 similar songs. Personally, I try to keep them similar, or carry a similar theme in my polls, but there are no rules about it. Looking at each song, they both came off of their respective band's third album(s). maybe that's the connection

Here we are not comparing similar anything. Daybreaker is pure prog pop, essentially a brilliant violin solo. Priest is well...Priest. Two totally opposite genres. The only thing they have in common is the "breaker" and that is not enough for a poll. Complete waste of time.

Nolo Loves ELO, I know that for a fact, he also loves metal as his Avvy comment states, people can write whatever polls they want.
